The Antigona handbag was released in Givenchy's 2010 Fall/Winter collection and was designed by then Creative Director Riccardo Tisci . The bag's shape is inspired by the military Boston bag , and its "hexagonal outline" has a strong sense of structure and exudes a neutral temperament. The name is taken from the Greek mythological heroine "Antigone" , representing the tenacious and independent spirit.

American designer Matthew M. Williams took over as Givenchy's creative director in 2021. His first series transformed Antigona into a variety of new looks - Antigona chest bag, padlock bag, extended handle bag, sports bag, horizontal long bag, pocket bag, etc., becoming one of the brand's most representative designs.
This Antigona is smaller than the previous model, with a "15x15x7cm" Micro size , and the same stiff hexagonal structure. The new design details are the highlight - you can see the new interpretation of the G-shaped silver metal parts , hexagonal patches , magnetic strip buckles , etc., which are more modern.

Fluorescent pink

It is made of glossy calfskin . If you look closely, you can see the delicate leather texture. The bright texture paired with fluorescent pink is a bit like a charming glaze texture.

In order to make the whole bag look purer and simpler, the designer also used fluorescent pink stitching to outline the border.

A hexagonal logo patch on the top is the finishing touch. It is made of "padded style" fluorescent pink calfskin and is hot-stamped with a silver "Givenchy" logo. The soft touch makes it even more lovely.

The hardware elements that Matthew is good at using are hardly used on this bag. The foot nails are made of two pieces of hexagonal calfskin stitched together, which is light and can reduce friction on the bottom of the bag.

· Removable shoulder strap·
The bag is equipped with a detachable calfskin shoulder strap , which can be easily switched between hand-carrying and cross-body. It is worth noting that Matthew's newly designed "G" hook buckle uses polished gun silver metal to create two "G" patterns , replacing the traditional lobster buckle design.

What can this bag hold?
This bag is dressed in fluorescent pink from the inside out, as if it were dipped in a paint bucket. The top of the bag uses a discreet and convenient magnetic strip to open , and the lining is made of soft lambskin and has a silver-stitched logo patch.

The small size of "15x15x7cm" is just a little bigger than the palm of your hand, but your phone can still fit in it. The crisp architectural structure can also accommodate small items such as card holders, perfume, lipstick, etc. The small bag has a full sense of presence. Although small, it has all the necessary functions.
