What I want to express is the design concept of "stay away from the hustle and bustle and embrace tranquility". Like fashion and literary works, classics are eternal, and sometimes we just change the cover to make it look more modern.
Origin of the name
The Gate Bag made its debut in the spring and summer of 2018. Its name comes from the metal buckle design on the side, which is like the latch of a gate.

The metal buckle of this bag is fastened with black calfskin, with the LOEWE brand logo engraved on the top and decorated with a knot in the same color as the front to add a dynamic highlight.
· Bow Buckle·
The bow-knot buckle that runs across both sides of the bag is the most distinctive symbol of the Gate Bag, neutralizing the tough temperament of this bag, like a gift carefully wrapped by a girl with colorful ribbons. The strap also serves to fix the flap . The flap can be opened by passing through the buckle, and the flap can also be folded and fixed at the back for easy access to the items in the bag.
Even when it’s open, the combination of the brown leather buckle and the checked wool tweed is very pleasing to the eye.
· Calfskin leather
The flap, back, bow buckle, strap and other leather parts of this bag are all made of smooth calfskin , which is soft and not easy to crease.
The upper right corner of the flap is engraved with Loewe's iconic Anagram pattern. The logo was designed by Spanish artist Vicente Vela in 1970. It consists of four mirrored L letters, symbolizing the brand's long history. The contrasting stitching on the leather lock edge is also one of the design highlights of the Gate Bag, making the lines of the bag more lively and playful.

The bag is made of tan checked wool , which adds a touch of warmth to autumn and winter. It is soft and stretchable. The houndstooth pattern originated in Scotland and is also known as the "noble check" because it is favored by royal nobles such as the Duchess of Windsor.

· Adjustable shoulder straps·
The shoulder straps are directly pierced through the bag body and flap, which is a very rare connection method. The adjustable design allows you to adjust the length by changing the buttonholes, with the shortest being 106.5cm and the longest being 121cm to meet different needs.
Internal details
The bag is lined with suede calfskin , which is soft and not prone to scratches. The color matches the tan plaid and the edges are hand-painted in black. The interior has two large compartments and a small clip pocket, with the words LOEWE Made in Spain printed on the front. Although it looks light and compact, the actual space of this bag is very sufficient. It can hold a notebook, a card holder, an iPhone, a pair of Airpods, a pack of tissues, a box of powder, a bottle of perfume and a lipstick, and there is still room. The clip pocket on the back can also store small items such as hair ties and cards. Since its birth in early 2018, the Gate Bag has quickly become one of Loewe's most popular bags. Whether paired with a flowing skirt or a capable trousers, its simple silhouette and neutral temperament can be perfectly controlled. Coupled with the exquisite craftsmanship and high-quality leather of the bag itself, I am afraid that the speed of making bags in the Spanish workshop cannot keep up with the speed of customers buying bags.
