J'ADIOR HANDBAG

J'ADIOR is Maria's first handbag creation after taking office as Creative Director of Women's Wear , launched in the 2017 Spring/Summer Women's Wear Collection. The name comes from the French word "j'adore" , which means "I adore, I adore" . Maria changed the suffix of the word to the brand name and designed it into oversized metal letters, which is a bold expression of the passionate emotion and declaration of love.

Ocean totem embroidery

Dior 's 1960s ready-to-wear craftsmanship has returned. Maria combines silk thread and beaded embroidery techniques with design patterns to depict a vivid underwater world on J'ADIOR .

“This season I wanted to showcase the power of women’s handicrafts. I spent two months researching how to combine lace, embroidery, patchwork and other crafts with design, and even how to weave wool into a leather effect.”

The fine wool weaves out the azure blue of the sea, and the embroidery and beads embellish the ocean totems - mermaids dancing around seaweed, seahorses swimming among colorful corals... The side is embroidered with geometric patterns , making the colors richer and more three-dimensional. It must be fun to carry it to the aquarium .

J'ADIOR Handle

The bronze metal "J'ADIOR" is inlaid on the black leather handle and fixed to the bag with double sewing . When you put your hand through the sturdy wide handle, you don't have to worry about it slipping off, and you feel more secure . The "Declaration of Love" naturally falls on the back of your hand, revealing a calm and casual nature .

How do I carry this bag?

In addition to the handle, the handbag also incorporates Dior's iconic elements in its detailed design. The bronze metal chain engraved with the brand's initials CD is very textured and retro .

The length of the chain strap can be adjusted to allow it to be carried on the shoulder, by hand or crossbody , and it can be paired with any elegant or lively look.

But you must be careful when using this bag, and do not scratch the fine beads and silk threads easily .

What can this bag hold?

The bag has a simple magnetic buckle closure and the interior is made of black cowhide with plenty of storage layers .

The front narrow compartment is decorated with a gold-stamped logo, which can hold a mobile phone. There are also two card holders on the back , which are convenient for storing business cards or bank cards. There is a flap pocket on the back , which is wide enough to store important items such as rings and documents.
