Design inspiration
Diorodeo is a combination of Dior and the Spanish word "Rodeo" , which means that the bag is inspired by equestrian sports. The traditional Mexican female equestrian riders (Escaramuza) are the main source of inspiration for the Diorodeo series. They wear gorgeous long skirts and participate in the equestrian competition called Charreada with men. The agile posture is a display of female strength, and the exquisite embroidery on the clothes highlights the charm of women. It is not only a tribute to the traditional Mexican embroidery craftsmanship , but also a symbol of the pursuit of freedom.
· Embroidered shoulder straps·
Two colorful, alternating long and short embroidered shoulder straps are the main highlight of the Diorodeo handbag, inspired by traditional Mexican embroidery and weaving patterns and reinterpreted with modern craftsmanship.
The short shoulder straps are fixed on both sides of the bag. Although they cannot be removed or adjusted in length, their length and proportion have been carefully designed to form a structure close to an equilateral triangle with the upper edge of the bag, which looks very chic when carried in the hand.
Both ends of the long shoulder strap are freely retractable and the bottom is fixed with two belt buckles. It can be extended to its longest length as a crossbody shoulder strap, or shortened to overlap with the short shoulder strap, with both sides hanging naturally as decoration, echoing the tassel decoration of the bag.
Both shoulder straps are double-sided embroidered , with colorful diamond and zigzag stripe totems on the front, full of geometric beauty.
The reverse side features a pattern that resembles random smears of paint and is embellished with an embroidered 'Christian Dior' logo.
The long shoulder strap extends all the way to the bottom of the bag and is fastened with golden round nails at intervals, making the bag look exotic from every angle.
· Tassel drawstring closure·
The tassel drawstring buckle is the most romantic design on this bag. As an indispensable soul element, it gives the bag the free and uninhibited temperament of a Bohemian girl. The history of tassels can be traced back to the records in the Hebrew Bible . God once asked Moses to instruct the Israelites to sew tassels on the corners of their clothes as a symbol of holiness. This tradition is still continued on Jewish prayer shawls.

In ancient Egypt, jewelry decorated with tassels was also considered a symbol of status. A tassel necklace was discovered in Tutankhamun's tomb. European royal and noble clothing or swords were often decorated with tassels. In modern times, tassels have gradually become one of the representative elements of Bohemian style , symbolizing a wandering and freedom-seeking lifestyle.
The two tassels on this bag are made of calfskin. They not only serve as decoration, but also serve as the opening and closing buckles of the bag. Just loosen the drawstring at the bottom and pass the tassel buckle through the drawstring to open the bag lid.
· Leather and craftsmanship details·
The bag is made of fine calfskin , which is smooth with almost no pores, and the edges are outlined with black oil. The body and flap are both rounded , making the lines softer.
The Christian Dior logo is hot stamped and embossed on the bottom of the flap and the lining, respectively, which is a relatively low-key design.
The lining of the bag is made of suede , which protects the items inside and is not easy to be scratched. The flat inner pocket can store thin items such as cards or tickets. From the back, you can see that the outline of the bag is actually a slightly curved design, with the buckles and flowing tassels on both sides, which are very feminine details.
What can this bag hold?
The bag adopts a simple single-layer compartment design with two flat inner pockets on the front and back, maximizing the internal capacity while ensuring the bag is compact.
