Peanuts is one of the earliest four-frame comic strips in American newspapers . It was created by American cartoonist Charles M. Schulz and serialized from October 2, 1950 to February 13, 2000, the day after the author's death. A total of 17,897 issues were published . It is known as "the longest comic story in the world" and has more than 350 million readers worldwide in at least 75 countries.
