Design inspiration
C Bag is one of the new bags designed by Hedi Slimane, the new creative director of CELINE. It is inspired by the classic carriage buckle flap bag of the 1970s and continues the simple geometric silhouette and square metal buckle design.

The square tablet pattern comes from a vintage bag from the 1980s. The quilting process makes the bag texture fuller and rounder, full of retro style.

The diamond-faceted gold chain is a redesign of the brand's iconic Triomphe chain , originally inspired by the metal chains surrounding the Arc De Triomphe square in Paris.

Origin of the name
The name of C Bag comes from the metal buckle with the letter C on the front, which presents the initials of CELINE in gold relief , becoming the most eye-catching element of this bag.
The buckle adopts a hidden buttonhole design, and the new CELINE brand logo is engraved on the outer L-shaped button. After pressing it, you can see the internal circular buttonhole, which can be inserted through to open the flap. It is a very safe and clever structure.

Another very Hedi Slimane element of this bag is the gold chain shoulder strap, which uses a brass chain with cut and polished sides. The overall style is rough and tough, which contrasts with the retro checkered quilting. The chain is directly pierced through the cover, and the four holes are protected by metal rings, each of which is engraved with the CELINE PARIS logo.
The top of the sliding chain is decorated with a black calfskin shoulder strap. The soft leather enhances comfort. The total length of the shoulder strap is 48 cm, and 27 cm when folded. It can be carried crossbody or on one shoulder to meet different matching needs.

Quilting has a history of more than 5,000 years, and traces of quilted clothing have appeared on ivory carvings of the pharaohs of the First Dynasty of Egypt (3400 BC). By the 5th century AD, quilting gradually became part of the traditional embroidery craft and was used in the production of daily clothing.

The fine square checkered pattern of this bag is very classic , and the quilting technique divides the calfskin into full squares, exuding the natural luster of the leather.
The lining is made of lambskin , making the whole bag very soft and comfortable.

C Bag continues the practical and versatile features of CELINE's small bags, with 3 layers of partitions, a zipper pocket and an open clip pocket to meet the needs of storage control. The internal space can hold a notebook, a pen, an iPhone, a coin purse, a box of powder, a bottle of perfume, a pack of tissues, a pair of Airpods and a jewelry bag. The multi-layer compartment design allows all items to be placed in their proper places.
