FENDI Yellow FAB Shoulder Bag

FAB is a new bag model launched by FENDI in the spring and summer of 2020. It adopts a small box bag shape and a flap structure. The minimalist appearance can be mixed and matched with almost any single item. The most eye-catching design is the iconic FF square buckle , inlaid with Swarovski crystals , which looks particularly shining on the bright yellow bag.

The FAB handbag debuted in FENDI's 2020 spring and summer collection. It was designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi , the third-generation heir of FENDI. The most prominent element of the bag is the central FF square buckle, which is highly recognizable. FENDI was founded in 1925 by Adele Casagrande and her husband Edoardo Fendi. The two opened a leather goods store and fur workshop in Rome, and became famous for their products and craftsmanship. After the end of World War II, the five daughters of the Fendi couple joined the family business, and at the suggestion of brand consultant Duke Franco Savorelli di Lauriano, they hired Karl Lagerfeld as a designer in 1965.

Karl Lagerfeld created the concept of "Fun Fur" in 1967. Because the first letters of the words FENDI, Fun, and Fur are the same, Karl drew the sketch of the FF Logo in just 5 seconds.

The logo is composed of two opposing "Fs" and initially only appeared on the lining of FENDI suitcases in black and tobacco brown . Later, the FF Logo continued to change, and in the 2000s it became a rectangular pattern composed of two "Fs", with sharp edges and a modern feel.

With the resurgence of retro style and logo style in the past two years, FENDI launched the "FF Reloaded" capsule series in 2018, drawing on a square version of the FF Logo from 1974 , which is more concise and powerful, and appears in the form of flat prints on ready-to-wear and leather goods.

The FAB handbag uses the square FF Logo to make a metal buckle, on which 56 rectangular-cut Swarovski crystals are inlaid . It looks particularly dazzling on the yellow bag and has become the soul element of this bag.

FAB has taken the small square shape of the Karligraphy handbag and evolved the Karligraphy floral buckle into a square FF magnetic buckle. If the Karligraphy handbag has a retro charm, then the FAB is full of modern urban atmosphere. The appearance of the two bags is almost the same, both using a full and mini box bag shape, and a metal buckle in the center of the T-shaped flap.

FAB is made of fine and smooth calfskin, which has good gloss and smooth touch.

FAB is equipped with a yellow calfskin thin shoulder strap , which can be removed and the length can be adjusted . It can be switched among three roles: shoulder bag, crossbody bag and handbag.

The shoulder strap can be removed through the leather loop on the inside of the flap. Overall, FAB is quite versatile . The simple bag shape is suitable for casual shopping, and the crystal buckle adds a sense of elegance. It can also be used as a date bag or an evening handbag, and can be used in a variety of styles or scenes.

What can this bag hold?

The lining is made of dark brown Alcantara textile fabric, which is a kind of artificial leather similar to suede, but it is much lighter than genuine leather and has the advantages of durability and wear resistance. There are 2 compartments inside, one side is stitched with a leather logo plate, and the other side is decorated with multiple yellow leather card slots for convenient storage of credit cards or documents.
