Design inspiration
The Twist handbag is one of Louis Vuitton's most popular handbags in recent years. It made its debut at the 2015 Spring/Summer fashion show and was designed by Nicolas Ghesquière , the brand's creative director for women's wear . Since then, the Twist has appeared on almost every runway show.

The design of Twist is inspired by the brand's Trapèze clutch launched in 1988. It uses Trapèze's iconic "LV" twist lock and Epi ripple leather, and transforms the inverted trapezoidal structure into a more practical square bag shape.

TwistThe bag has a simple and neat appearance, with a crisp rectangle and a flap closure.
The bottom of the bag adopts a wavy design, which not only makes the lines of the bag smoother and softer, but also makes the bag more upright and provides more space.
LV twist lock
As we mentioned earlier, Twist’s most recognizable “LV” twist lock element is derived from the brand’s classic Trapèze clutch. The layered metal logo not only highlights the brand’s identity, but also makes the opening and closing process more ceremonial.
Twist is translated into Chinese as twist, and it is named after the ingenious way of unlocking the door - the "LV" logo forms a layered twist lock. You only need to rotate the letter "L" until it overlaps with the "V" and pass through the V-shaped hollow cut on the flap to open it.
The twist lock is made of gold metal, which is as round and shiny as a copper tube. The "LV" logo is lightly etched on the details, highlighting the fine workmanship.

Epi leather was first introduced as a LV product line in 1985. Epi means "ear of wheat" because the undulating texture on its surface reminds people of the waves formed by the breeze blowing through the ears of wheat. To achieve this texture, tanning agents are extracted from plants to tan the leather, making it tough, waterproof, scratch-resistant and wear-resistant .
The combination of color matching and Epi leather makes this Twist look and feel upgraded. Most of the bag is emerald green , and the sides of the bag and the inside of the handle are in royal blue , giving it a retro and casual look.
How to carry this bag?
It has a detachable handle and a wide satin shoulder strap . There are metal D-shaped hooks on both ends of the bag top, which can be connected to the handles separately. It is more suitable for formal occasions when used as a handbag.
The wide satin shoulder strap is the finishing touch of this bag, embroidered with contrasting brand letter logos and Monogram flowers in pink, gold and other colors , injecting youthful vitality into the bag.
When you attach the wide straps, it is suitable for single shoulder or crossbody carrying. Even with the simplest pure white or pure black T-shirt, the addition of colorful straps will add a lot of color to the overall look.
What can this bag hold?
The inner lining is made of navy blue microfiber, and there is a flat pocket on each side. One of the pockets is made of emerald green Epi water ripple leather and comes with a mirror. The Twist bag is quite standard, and the wavy bottom design makes it easier to fit things. We put an iPhone X, a coin purse, AirPods headphones, a notebook, lip gloss and perfume in the bag, and it is almost complete with daily carry-on equipment.
