Hermès 2021 Spring/Summer Collection launches the new Constance Mini Concon bag , which is made of Monsieur calfskin in a classic square shape. The story dates back to 1967, when Jean-Louis Dumas, the fifth-generation heir of the Hermès family, invited a young female designer, Catherine Chaillet, to design a bag. The designer was pregnant at the time, so she naturally named the bag after her daughter, Constance, which also symbolizes the classic item passed down from mother to daughter.

The Constance bag is classic and timeless, and has been redesigned over the past half century - using prints, rare leather, canvas and leather mix and match, etc.; the "H" buckle is varied - decorated with metal, lacquer, diamonds, enamel, gemstones, etc.; and extended to the slender Elan style, WOC, waist bag, briefcase and other bag types, launched in a variety of sizes.

The most iconic and recognizable design element of Constance is the central "H" buckle , which is taken from the first letter of the brand logo. Constance is also the first bag in the brand's history to have a clear H logo design.

The solid left and right sides and the middle horizontal bar form a stable H letter structure, creating a simple and generous look. The sharp lines are full of momentum.

The new model gives the "H" a buckled architectural style and uses up to 14 pieces of polished mirror metal to create three-dimensional geometric facets. It has a unique mirror light reflection effect and three-dimensional texture, inspired by retro disco laser balls.

The silver mirror shines brightly under different lights or sunlight, just like the fire of a dazzling diamond. The "Hermès" logo is etched on the bottom of the bar.

The buckle opening and closing design is convenient, and spring devices are embedded at both ends of the H-letter horizontal bar fixed to the flap. You only need to hold the horizontal bar with your hand and lift it outwards gently to open it. It is suitable for busy and fast modern life.

Package structure

The design of each Hermès bag starts with its structure. The Constance adopts a simple rounded rectangular silhouette, which is refined yet friendly; the "T"-shaped flap is connected to the buckle.

Viewed from the side, the two-chamber accordion pleat structure is stretchable and makes the bag appear more rigid and layered.

Made of Monsieur calfskin launched by Hermès in 2018 , it is smooth, soft and strong, with a satin luster and delicate texture. The launch of Monsieur is intended to pay tribute to the brand's "King of Leather" - the classic Box calfskin.

Constance looks simple, but the actual production process is quite complicated. It requires skilled professional craftsmen to manually combine about 50 parts and leather, and each bag takes more than 14 hours.

The bag is hand-sewn by "Saddle Stitch", maintaining precise spacing and strength. This sewing technique can ensure that the bag remains reliable over time. The outline is outlined with a blue oil edge in black, and the silver logo is hot-stamped in detail.

There are two silver buckles on the top of the flap, and the slender Monsieur calfskin shoulder strap is interspersed between them. The sliding design allows free switching between single and double straps.
