Louis Vuitton's OnTheGo handbag is based on the classic Sac Plat sheet music bag that came out in 1968. It continues the square and neat tote bag shape and double handle design, and the bag body is changed from a narrow and long to a wide version .

The main body of the bag is made of Monogram coated canvas , which is lightweight, waterproof and wear-resistant. Louis Vuitton's classic Monogram was created in 1896. It was inspired by the Japanese "pattern" design of the Victorian era and combines the LV letter logo and the four-petal flower pattern. It has become the brand's unique DNA symbol.
The handles are made of Vachetta tanned leather , an undyed cowhide leather with a buttery soft touch that will naturally age and develop a tan color over time, leaving a unique mark of the user. The leather edges are decorated with a striking red oil edge, and the four corners of the bag are protected by leather corners and rivets to reduce wear and keep the bag crisp.

This is the first time Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Yayoi Kusama again in 10 years since 2012. The new work uses Kusama's most iconic "polka dot" as the main visual element, presenting a dazzling polka dot pattern on ready-to-wear and bags, exploring the eternal concept shared by fashion and art.

The polka dots on the bag are created through the silk-screen printing process to create a subtle three-dimensional texture. In order to accurately replicate these dots and reproduce the touch of the artist's brush, each bag is personally supervised by 93-year-old Yayoi Kusama herself , pursuing millimeter-perfect accuracy, carefully paying attention to the details of each brushstroke, and perfectly showing the texture and weight.

In addition to the conventional hand-carrying method, this OnTheGo small tote bag also comes with a detachable and adjustable pink jacquard wide shoulder strap and a round coin purse , which can be carried cross-body or on one shoulder for a more casual style.
