Louis Vuitton launches the "LV Remix" series in spring 2024, looking back to the Marc Jacobs collection in the 2000s. This handbag features the classic Alma handbag as the protagonist, recalling the Y2K pop culture at the turn of the millennium.

The prototype of the "Alma" handbag can be traced back to the Squire , a practical and spacious travel bag created by Mr. Gaston Vuitton in 1934. In 1955, it evolved into the Champs-Elysees trapezoidal handbag with a more urban atmosphere. The bag was named after "Champs-Elysees" .

In 1992, the Champs-Elysees handbag was further upgraded to the new Alma handbag , named after the Place de l'Alma in Paris . It adopts a more rounded and delicate shell shape , and its design is inspired by the Art Deco style . Since then, the Alma handbag has become a long-lasting bag of LV. After becoming the creative director of LV in 1997,American designer Marc Jacobs has continuously injected new inspiration and creativity into the Alma handbag. He has collaborated with New York graffiti artist Stephen Sprouse and Japanese artist Takashi Murakami to bring various styles to the Alma.

This new work is made mainly of "Monogram Vernis" patent leather , a material that first appeared on the Louis Vuitton 2000 Spring/Summer collection show .

This bag is made of sky blue cowhide , on which the Monogram pattern is embossed to create an undulating texture like an embossed one. The highlight is that the leather surface is then decorated with a lacquer coating , creating a glossy visual effect, as if it will flow with the light, appearing smart and lovely.
The bottom of the bag is decorated with reinforced light camel cowhide and inlaid with gold round rivets , which is reminiscent of the brand's classic suitcase craftsmanship and echoes the light camel cowhide handles.

The cutest thing about this bag is the metal hairpin on the handle , which is in the shape of a sky blue cloud and decorated with the "LV" logo. What can this bag hold?
The two-way zipper closure gives the bag security. When you open the bag, the refreshing sky blue fabric lining comes into view, and a light camel leather emblem is sewn on it.
There is a flat pocket under the leather emblem , which can be used to put flat objects such as ID cards or receipts. We put a mobile phone, coin purse, makeup mirror, lipstick, perfume, keys, and a notebook in the bag, and there was still more than enough space , which shows that the internal capacity of Alma BB is very impressive.
