The Pouch clutch is the first work brought by Daniel Lee, the new creative director of Bottega Veneta , for the brand. It continues the iconic Intrecciato woven leather elements and minimalist style. The soft, wrinkled calfskin wraps the magnetic frame, like a light cloud, exuding a casual, lazy and comfortable feeling.

· Intrecciato leather·

Intrecciato woven leather is Bottega Veneta's most iconic craftsmanship and design element. Its history can be traced back to 1975. Craftsmen cut soft calfskin or lambskin into thin strips, and then weave them into pieces through a shuttle weaving method to form a fine checkered texture, which enhances the flexibility of the leather . The leather required is about 4 times that of ordinary splicing.

The Pouch clutch is made from a single piece of Intrecciato woven leather, with no seams visible from the outside, and the requirements for both leather and craftsmanship are very stringent.

The solid-color bag has no extra decoration on the outside, and the natural pleated lines create a lazy and comfortable feeling. It looks soft like a cloud and a bit like a dumpling.

Magnetic frame

The metal frame of the bag is covered with calfskin of the same color, buried in the wrinkled outline of the top of the cloud. The lining is also grass green glossy calfskin , which feels delicate and soft.

The frame itself is magnetic , and you can feel a slight tension when opening and closing the bag, which does not require a lot of effort but ensures security.

What can this bag hold?

Surprisingly, the storage function of this bag is also very powerful, and it looks more stylish when filled with things. The magnetic frame can be opened to nearly 180°, so larger documents or books can be stuffed in.

We put books and pencil cases, air cushion powder, card holders, iPhone X, perfume, lipstick and Airpods in the bag, which did not affect its appearance at all. Moreover, the bag itself is very light. When there are few things, you can directly put it under your armpit or hold it in your hand. If it is full, you can hold it by the bottom and hold it at your side, and it still looks very stylish.
