Its history can be traced back to the time of founder Mario Prada. Through hot pressing and waxing techniques, a cross-grain texture is pressed on the surface of the calfskin , making it stiff, scratch-resistant and waterproof .

In the Scandicci workshop in Florence, it takes craftsmen more than six hours to make a Galleria handbag. Each bag is made up of 83 independent parts , demonstrating industrial precision and exquisite craftsmanship.

The eight limited edition new works launched in spring and summer 2023 are highlighted by contrasting geometric patterns . American pop artist Alex Da Corte was specially invited to helm the advertising film creation, and Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson performed it.

This special edition handbag is made of desert yellow Saffiano leather with eye-catching orange and blue square prints on both sides . The contrasting pattern breaks through the binary plane and spreads to the detachable leather key ring and handle. The bright color blocks are reminiscent of Mondrian's abstract paintings.
