Balenciaga Hourglass Bag Advertising Film
From now until November 3, the Balenciaga store in Sanlitun, Beijing, will provide on-site customization services for specially selected new winter handbags.
· Silhouette inspiration ·
Creative director Demna Gvasalia integrated the iconic Basque-Waist elements created by brand founder Cristóbal Balenciaga , extending from fashion to accessories, to create this Hourglass handbag with curves that perfectly fit the female body. The architectural silhouette is reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower in Paris , which not only traces back to the birthplace of the brand, but also makes the bag exude a romantic atmosphere.

The bag body adopts the Top Handle single handle structure, which is fixed on both sides of the top of the bag and connected to the shoulder strap buckle. The seams and the bag body are presented in a strong red color , and the shiny calfskin is particularly delicate. The narrow top and wide bottom structure is conducive to the stability of the bag body. The inward-retracted side design echoes the arched arc of the bottom of the bag and the semi-circular handle. The bottom is a dome-like arc design , which not only reduces wear and tear, but also makes the bag look particularly upright.
The double red stitching is parallel to the side contour of the bag, radiating to both sides to divide the bag into three parts, making the bag more layered and upright.
The red painted edge matches the color of the bag, and with the fine and neat stitching, it outlines the contour of the bag smoothly.
The bottom of the bag also adopts a concave structure on both sides, echoing the core element of Hourglass.
· B Logo buckle ·
The vintage brass B Logo buckle is the most eye-catching decorative element on the glossy body. The cowhide ring fixes the letter ring with an old effect to add a sense of agility. The double-line engraved lines delicately outline the B letter logo, and the Balenciaga logo is engraved on the bottom.
A protective sheet is added on the other side of the magnetic buckle to make the closure more secure.
The rustic and natural aging craftsmanship contrasts with the shiny cowhide, exuding a nostalgic texture.

The bag combines two geometric elements, trapezoid and arc . The naturally extended lines have both elegance and sophistication.
The cylindrical handle is delicate and smooth, neutralizing the sharpness of the bag's corners. The shoulder strap buckle and the top handle share the same starting point, and the connection also forms a stable triangular structure.
The slender calfskin shoulder strap is the same color as the bag body and the length can be adjusted at will . The brand logo is engraved on one side of the oval buckle. The blackened retro effect is consistent with the engraving technique on the B Logo buckle.
With the shoulder strap attached, the Hourglass becomes a neat shoulder bag with a slightly casual style, or you can let the shoulder strap hang naturally and carry it with one hand, which is also very handsome.
What can this bag hold?
The lining of the bag is made of the softest Nappa sheepskin , and the gold-stamped Logo is printed on the inside of the bag cover, which contrasts with the fine leather texture.
There is no interlayer pocket except for a zippered inner pocket, which makes the storage process more simple and clear. The inner pocket has an inner pleat design on the side, so thicker items can be placed.
The small Hourglass is made of all leather and uses very little hardware. It is light in weight (530g). We put a coin purse, a powder, an iPhone X, a portable perfume, a lip gloss and a jewelry box in the bag and there is still room to spare. It is one of the most spacious bags of the same size .
