Balenciaga's classic City Bag was born in 2001 and was designed by the then creative director. The original intention was to "design a cool bag for girls that can also be worn when riding motorcycles", so it is also called the "Motorcycle Bag" .

The classic motorcycle bag adopts a logo-free design . Its iconic elements are 12 metal rivets, leather zippers and specially washed leather . The overall appearance is rough and neutral, subverting the mainstream aesthetic style of elegance at the time and gaining favor from young people. Even today, 20 years later, it still maintains its status as the brand's It Bag.

Compared to the classic motorcycle bag, the biggest highlight of the Neo Classic launched this season is the architectural trapezoidal outline . The distressed lambskin is replaced with stiff crocodile-grain calfskin , and the glossy matte texture is adopted. The neat lines are more in line with modern aesthetics, and also represent the new style of Balenciaga under the helm of the new artistic director Demna Gvasalia .
· Leather zipper
Neo Classic inherits many design elements of the classic motorcycle bag, including woven handles, leather zipper pulls, metal rivets and other details, and incorporates a more modern design language.
The extra-long leather zipper must be the most dynamic element on the motorcycle bag, and it is the playful part of the bag. Neo Classic extends the zipper to the outside of the bag, like two jumping pigtails, neutralizing the strong feeling brought by the sharp corners. This design can also avoid the embarrassing situation of the zipper getting stuck in the lining.
Braided handle
The braided handle is also one of the finishing touches of the motorcycle bag. It is handmade by craftsmen, with holes punched inside the handle and wrapped with leather rope, like sewing a fine lace. In addition to being beautiful, it also has practical properties such as anti-slip and wear-resistant , making it convenient to open the pocket with one hand while riding a bike without worrying about slipping.
· Removable shoulder strap·
This small Neo Classic comes with a 104cm long detachable shoulder strap , which can be used as a shoulder bag or a crossbody bag. The shoulder strap is made of the same crocodile-patterned calfskin as the bag, and the wide shoulder pads make the bag more comfortable to wear.
What can this bag hold?
The two-way zipper allows the bag to be fully opened for easy access. The bag is lined with soft Nappa lambskin , with a single large compartment and flat inner pockets on the front and back.
The small size is enough for daily travel or commuting. We put a notebook, iPhone X, wallet, card holder, sunglasses, makeup mirror, jewelry box and Airpods in the bag, and there is at least one-third of the space left. The zipper pocket on the front can also be used to store car keys and other handy items. How about the new Neo Classic motorcycle bag? Is it still super cool, and more powerful than the classic one?
