Origami inspiration
The Puzzle Fold tote bag is a new bag style launched by LOEWE in the autumn and winter of 2023. It draws inspiration from the Japanese art of origami and is based on the limited edition Origami handbag released by the brand in 2013. It combines the iconic geometric patchwork structure of the Puzzle series.

PuzzleThe biggest design highlight of this bag is its clever foldable structure . Through exquisite leathermaking craftsmanship, flat geometric leather is pieced together into a three-dimensional configuration with an architectural sense. It can be folded into flat small squares, which makes it easy to store and carry while also adding fun.
The bag body is made of soft and light calfskin , with a warm and delicate suede lining . It is spliced and stitched by combining inner and outer seams to achieve inward or outward pleats. The thin and tough leather allows the bag to be folded flexibly.
Penguin intarsia
The lifelike penguin and seal patterns are from the works of Suna Fujita Ceramic Studio in Kyoto, Japan. With the refreshing and healing glacier blue background, people feel as if they are in the icy Antarctica. Suna Fujita Ceramic Studio was founded in 2005 by Japanese ceramic artist couple Shohei Fujita and Chisato Yamano. The studio is located in the countryside of Kyoto. The ceramic works of the two draw inspiration from natural landscapes, childhood memories, dreams, and life with their son and dog . They are like three-dimensional storybooks engraved on ceramic products such as teapots, cups, and plates.

Even if it breaks into pieces, the patterns carved on the surface can still help us understand the culture and lifestyle of the time and become a medium for passing on our life stories. I hope that the world we depict is a dreamy, almost utopian place that can bring people a moment of peace.

The lively penguin pattern is embedded in the glacier blue leather through the leather marquetry process , and the gradient feathers and orange webbed feet are vivid. The intarsia pattern is decorated on the top panel of the bag, which is set off by the silver LOEWE logo and can be perfectly displayed even when folded.
A special edition leather label printed with a seal and hand-painted Suna signature pattern is dotted on the inside of the bag opening, facing the little penguin across the "sea". I wonder if the honest seal can catch up with the naughty little penguin.

The bag is equipped with a detachable long shoulder strap, which can be buckled or tucked into the bag anytime and anywhere, and can be switched to various styles such as hand-carrying, shoulder-carrying, cross-body, etc. The small and simple tote bag can be perfectly matched with skirts or pants. The glacier blue and little penguin configuration is especially suitable for carrying to the zoo or aquarium.

The size of the mini Puzzle Fold handbag is 16.5×9.5×20cm , which is just big enough to hold items the size of an iPad mini. The 9.5cm wide bottom of the bag can easily store even slightly thick books, wallets, powder and other items.
We put iPad mini, iPhone, paperback-sized books, glasses case, card holder, perfume, keys, lipstick and other items in the bag, and there is still plenty of space to use.
