Design inspiration
The FENDI By The Way handbag made its debut in the 2014 Early Fall Collection . It adopts a casual and simple Boston bag shape . The bag’s name also continues the relaxed tone similar to “Fun Fur”, giving it a casual feeling of “just mentioning it by the way”. In addition to its classic and durable appearance, the lightweight body, spacious storage space, and large opening for easy access to items also make this bag a favorite among commuters. It has been constantly innovating for 8 years since its debut.

FENDI 2014 Early Fall Collection
The new Mini size launched this season reduces the bag body to a compact size of "20.5×12×9cm" . The leather handles are replaced with hard plexiglass handles , and the proportions are also optimized to present a more modern architectural silhouette.

The more basic and simple the item is, the more it needs to use highlights in the details to get rid of the passerby feeling. This bag is very sincere in the detail design - the "U"-shaped double handles are made of tortoiseshell-effect plexiglass , and the mottled dark brown translucent texture gives people a deep and bookish feeling.
The connection between the handle and the body is embellished with gold FF embossed metal ornaments . The carved texture not only enhances the texture but also highlights the exquisite hardware craftsmanship. The hinge design allows the handle to rotate 180° flexibly, which is convenient for the top zipper to open and close.
The bag is made of mint green satin calfskin , with the "FENDI ROMA" logo in the same color in the center through hot embossing technology , which has a slightly undulating touch and prominently marks the brand's DNA.
Boston bag type
The Boston Bag is a travel bag or daily functional bag with a rectangular bottom, two handles, and a folded top . It got its name because it was popular in Boston, USA in the 1890s. The Boston Globe reported at the time: "If you see a lady carrying a Boston bag on Broadway in New York or the streets of Chicago, there is no doubt that she is from Boston!"
