· Since 1854 jacquard pattern ·
This Petite Malle small hard case comes from the Louis Vuitton 2022 early spring and summer resort show. This season is themed "Utopia Fantasy" , and the Since 1854 jacquard canvas series handbags have become one of the highlights. The "Since 1854" jacquard pattern debuted in the 2020 autumn and winter season and was designed by Nicolas Ghesquière , creative director of women's wear . The Monogram flower is presented in a shield pattern , inspired by the Gothic-style shield elements collected in the old residence of the LV family; and the words "1854" , the year the brand was founded, are incorporated . The number "8" is designed with petals as inspiration, which means a return to the original intention.

Since 1854 jacquard canvas was first presented in fuchsia and black , and later in a casual and stylish denim version. The new season uses a light and simple beige-grey tone , spliced with sweet and pretty cherry pink calfskin , injecting a romantic spring atmosphere into the small hard case.

· Package design·
The Petite Malle small hard case released in the autumn and winter of 2014 has become a representative work of LV. The design inspiration comes from the brand's photography case launched in 1929. Petite Malle can be seen in almost every season's works since then. This photography case was specially customized for French banker and philanthropist Albert Kahn . In the early 20th century, Albert Kahn hired 10 professional photographers to travel around the world and use the camera to record local customs and appearances. A total of about 72,000 color photos were taken and collected. In order to carry photographic equipment and daily necessities, he customized several red canvas boxes from LV, with black iron edging and thick ropes tied to the handles for local natives to carry.

The Petite Malle handbag looks like a miniature version of this classic photography box , but the way the handbag is opened has been improved. There are leather corner braces on both sides , which extend and close at an angle of about 45° , making it easy to store and access items in the bag and avoid spilling, giving it a more modern feel.
