This cute half-moon bag is from the CELINE 2023 Fall/Winter collection. It uses old flower canvas to create a half-moon outline. A Cuir Triomphe embossed leather logo in the center becomes the visual focus. The round and compact shape reminds people of chestnuts in autumn.

CELINE's 2023 Fall/Winter collection is themed "Age of Indieness ," inspired by the style of rock musicians in the United Kingdom and the United States in the 1990s. The bag collection is still based on vintage Triomphe canvas, and the classic monogram bag is a perennial item in the bag cabinet.

The new handbag adopts a small and cute half-moon silhouette, and the two-way zipper converges at the top, outlining smooth curved lines.

Viewed from the side, the bag is 6cm deep , quite three-dimensional and crisp, and with a flat bottom design, it can be placed steadily on the table or in the bag cabinet.

Triomphe

The most eye-catching feature of this bag is the "Cuir Triomphe" triumphal logo leather patch in the center , which occupies the absolute C position on the small bag.

The "Cuir Triomphe" series debuted at the CELINE 2021 Fall/Winter show. The iconic "Triomphe" triumphal logo has evolved into an enlarged embossed calfskin patch , which is sewn into the center of the bag through embroidery . The off-white exposed stitching outlines the outline, and the black oil edge creates a relief-like three-dimensional effect.

The calfskin patch is lined with Triomphe monogram canvas as the background, and the triumphal pattern is created with a gradient of dark and light brown shadows, which contrasts with the calfskin patch and has excellent layering and recognition. We are all familiar with "Triomphe monogram canvas" . From the 1970s to the 1980s, CELINE launched the C Sulky and Macadam monogram canvas series handbags with the triumph logo as the main element. Until the 2000s, when the monogram trend receded, the CELINE canvas series was also discontinued.

Hedi Slimane, the creative director of the 2019 Fall/Winter collection , refined the brand archives and brought the CELINE monogram canvas back to the public eye, and directly named it Triomphe. The new Triomphe print is more low-key and durable than the original monogram. In addition, the coated canvas has the advantages of being lightweight, waterproof, and scratch-resistant.
